Founder Javon Jones began his insurance career as a risk broker at Peachtree Special Risk Brokers, a wholesale E&S brokerage now part of Bridge Specialty Group. There he worked with retail agents to place difficult property and casualty risks. He then spent several years in venture capital and as a technology founder, evaluating businesses quickly, making decisions with incomplete information and building companies from the ground up.
Valjean Specialty brings those two experiences together: specialty market knowledge for hard-to-place risks, and a founder's discipline around speed, clear communication and follow-through. When you send us a submission, you'll get a fast, honest read on the account and a broker who stays with it until it's placed or you hear exactly why not.
Valjean Specialty is based in Columbia, South Carolina. Atlanta is our long-term home.
